182 FF what wishbones?

  Clio 182
If I have a full fat I need cup wish bones to match my cup shocks and bearings right?

Also is it wise to change the anti roll bar bushes when the wishbones are off?

  PH2 172
Thanks very much man! Are take it they are genuine Renault? You think that's a good price?
I`m not actually sure what is meant by Full Fat.
Something to do with cosmetic & suspension options I think?
Cup 172 cup RH wishbone 8200 257 957 is a valid number, and in stock at Renault as of todays date.

Please supply your reg no,and I can get it checked out for you.Or speak to this helpfull man.

182 cup suspension legs will have 60mm spacing, but I cannot see how that is relevant to wishbones.
You may find this of use.

Full Reg YC55 UKZ.

When i changed one of the front hubs the spacing was 60mm which is cup spacing right?

  PH2 172
Yeah as said only one type of wishbone is supplied now for all of them.

Part numbers end in 956 and 957 for left and right hand side.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/281608705383

8200 257 956 & 957 were the numbers I was given for a 172 Cup wishbones.
Are these the numbers you have been quoted from a Renault EPC for your 182?
6000 073 511 & 512 are the numbers for a non cup ph2 172 and are still available,so I am not sure where the belief that only one type is now available originated.

If you let me have your reg number(PM me if you don`t want it on public display) I can add a non cup 182 to my research.

If anyone has a 182 cup reg, that would also be usefull,as I am not sure what Rickeys full fat package consisted of.

I am still not convinced the wishbones on the 172`s are directly interchangeable,as 172 cup drive shafts (8200 225 212 for 2 piece RH) are 10mm longer than non cup (8200 257 767 2 piece RH).

The answer is not,as been suggested elsewhere,in the hub bearing carrier(knuckle for GM types) as both 172`s are pt no 8200 171 678.

Trawling through the data in the table contained in the thread I linked on post 6 of this thread,I noticed the cup has 32" of negative camber as opposed to 19" on the base 172 ph2.

Either the cup wishbones are drilled with the ball joint holes further out, which would mean changing to cup shafts, which I am not prepared to do,or the ball joints are longer.

I`ll keep digging till the truth will out.

Yep these are the ones for my 182 non cup.

Here are some of my reg's current and previous for use! Wah, haven't had a ph2 172 non cup!
ph1 - W975 LMW or Y62 GNJ
172 Cup - GD53 NUP
182 Full fat (cup suspension 60mm hubs and cup styling pack) - KB54 HWH or HV05 FKH
182 non cup suspension - LY54 FKD

Cup driveshafts are different due to the subframe wishbone bolts being set out a touch further from what I know. I currently have a ph1 o/s on my cup. @NorthloopCup you've seen the hubs. IIRC did you say the 60mm and 54mm hubs don't offer a change in track width?

Thanks for that.
LY54 FKD is your current non cup 182?
I will add the subframe to the items to be checked.

That's correct mate. It's all done on the subframes.

That's exactly how I understand it too. If renault only supply one part now (additional castor part) then it must universally fit. I remember @AlexW putting my 182 cup set up on his car and keeping the 54mm hubs no problem. @sburrell93 knows about the subframe too me thinks.

Hi Ricky, I have a pair of wishbones and track rod ends bought from Wolverhampton, and not fitted, as I've opted for the PMS rose jointed set up, will take a reasonable offer on them,

If they don't sell , I will be advertised them along with other bits soon, cheers Phil 07836375185

You need to order wishbones 8200 257 956 LH & 957 RH.
If you can get them for £50 each genuine a piece,go for it,as it well below Renault RRP.
Bushes & ball joints are included.
Roll bar outer bushes are 7700 7841 171 & I left a link on GrahamS `s ARB thread where you can get them for less than £3 a piece.

Yup, track width is all done through the subframe on the holes where the wishbones bolt into. Cup subframes have them about 5mm further out on each side.
If only it was so.
I`ve been annoying my man at R&R half the afternoon (I did give him a drink though) and all ph2 172,172 cup,182 and cup packed 182`s have the same front subframe, part no 8200 107 153.
172 cup,182,& 182 cup packed cars all have lower wishbones 8200 257 511/512 LH/RH.
Unless I find that the ball joints are longer for the above than my ph2 172,(which are not listed seperately on Renault EPC,) I can only conclude that the 6000 073 511/2 ph2 172 non cup pieces are 10mm shorter & I will not be able to retro fit the later items with improved castor angle without changing to longer shafts.

Cheers for all the advice and info mate much appreciated!

We're changing the front discs and pads when we change the wishbones... Anything else I should change at same time? Track rods and anti roll bar bushes right?

You will get change out of £60 before carriage for Brembo HC discs & pads from Kam racing.
7700 7841 171 I already covered,though Kam will do you a POWERFLEX all 4 KIT,ask for cliosport discount on the £27.60.
I`m confused why they list 182 as 22mm,because all 172/182 ph2 & and cup s have same roll bar 8200 109 120.
A branch of Andrew Page will supply you track rod ends for around £10 a side, but check out the rack gaitors, tie rod play & any Mot advisories while your there.
