182 Clunk

Hi, i was wondering if anyone can tell me/ have experienced a 'clunk' type of noise when just before the clutch bite when you have just started your car?
I does not happen all the time, i was wondering if it was operator error

As you can probably guess i'm not much of a technical buff! the car is about 2 months old done around 2000 miles.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

It is the ABS self-test, nothing to worry about!

sure its not the brakes freeingcos this happens on my car when its been sitting around overnight - and ive been told several people have this occur to them. nothing major to worry about

Dont worry thought the same thing when i got mine. happens every time the car is first turned on and you start to move about 5mph, ABS test. Definatly not the brakes you can sometimes feel it through the clutch and sort of makes a spring noise.

Check your wheel nuts...loose wheel possibility

I checked the wheels (better safe than sorry) and they were all hunky dorey!
