16v Front brakes

Since Ive had my car, there has been this pink wire hanging down the front bumper. I thought it had summet to do with the fogs not working.

Anyway, went to a scrap yard today and noticed this pink wire goes to the brake caliper! Anyone know what this does? Obviously Im gonna fix it but I havent a clue what its for!!

sounds like the brake senor for when the pads run low.

would a light appear on the dash or summet when they are low?

yeh if the sensor was connected up.

if not it just dont work

ignore it, they are pointless as its always fairly obvious when your pads are away

i wouldnt worry about them, mine are cut both sides so the light doesnt work.
