1.6 16v suspension

  172 & RSi
I've been looking at eibach springs etc. and noticed that the springs are the same for the 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0. Will this be the same with any set up? Will any springs/suspension kits/coilovers designed for a 1*2 fit my car (mk2 ph1 btw)?? I hear there are differences with 172 and 182s and cups etc but I've no idea so can anyone shed any light for me? Which kits will fit?

Cheers

springs are different on 1.2, they are the same on 1.4 and 1.6, but different again on the 1*2 iirc. the eibachs are brilliant springs, absolutely loved them on my 1.6.

I was oretty sure they arent as the 2.0 have different shocks. I might be wrong but I would call them and double check!

Nope have a read up about hub bolt spacing for a start springs are should be different but companies who make springs don't invest much in devolopment and since they can be fitted they leave it at that

172/182 are different depends on what version were on about
Oh and will 1.2 springs etc. not fit?
Forget it do it right or not at all IMO

Yep but the springs can fit

The differences in the springs are the weights. The dampers wont fit without modification as Edde said, the bolt spacing for the hubs are different. You can elongate the holes though but TBH I'd rather do it right....

just call ktec, they will sort you out and point you in the right direction.
Dont bodge it coz you will just end up payin for it in the long run.

Call a decent renault specialist and order eibach springs from them. they will make sure you get the right ones.
