1.6 16v BMC CDA into 1.4 16v

  1.6 Focus, 1.6 122S

I e-mailed BMC to see if they did a CDA for the 1.4 16v, this was there reply:

Unfortunately we dont have a specific CDA for your car.

In order to install a CDA filter you must make sure of the space available
once the original air box is removed, considering the CDA is approximately
200x150 millimetres; it is necessary to measure the diameter of the entrance
of the air intake on the motor side.

Since the CDA is a standard filter you must be extremely precise in taking
the measurements therefore you will be able to choose the model best
suitable for the type of application of car in issue.

So, has anyone tryed this, and if not, does anyone know if there is enough room? Otherwise it might be time to remove the airbox and doo some measuring.

Thanks, Saner

the 1.6 engine is very similar to the 1.4, so i guess you could easily make it fit.

i spoke to Hill Power about gettin them to modify their 1.6 ik for my 1.4 n they said its almost idnetical
