£300.00 on brakes!!

  RenaultSport clio 172 mk2
Just spent £300.00 on my brakes, ive bought

1) 4 X Goodridge Braided Brake Lines
2) Castrol Super DOT 4 Brake Fluid
3) 2 X NEW Front Renault Discs (Mine are about worn)
4) 2 X NEW Front Ferrodo DS2500 Brake Pads
5) 2 X NEW Rear EBC Kevlar Pads

and finally ive bought some 172 cup springs, having it all fitted by a friend for next to nothing, so hopefully the brakes should be s***hot.:D

  Ziel Nurburgring
Should have uprated them with better discs. Probably about the same or cheaper than OE stuff

Nah wasnt that expensive, the £300 odd price includes the price of the cup springs which cost me £50.00

total cost was

brake lines £50
rear pads £40
Front pads £80
Renault Discs £60
Brake fluid £10

So total on brakes was about £240.00 maximum.

Bought the Discs From GSF car parts

nope std are made by valeo or bendix

Ferodo DS2500 Brake Pads "race use only" Are these going to be any use for normal everyday driving??

so if i rang up gsf and asked for std disks they would give me brembo ones

Well ive already bought some and on the website they are shown as 280mm vented renault front discs, so while they are standard discs, they are perhaps made by brembo instead, i personally dont care as long as they look standard and work properly.

the brembos are OE replacements, identical

GSF stock BENDIX and BREMBO, but they generally send whatever!!!

OE = Original Equipment, Manufactuers standard parts

no need to upgrade the rear

DS2500's are a brilliant pad
