Bedded them in as per instructions in the box. First a few easy miles followed by 40 stops at 50% by which time the brakes smelt good and hot and no squeaking. Seemed to do the trick. Finished off the bedding in process with a day of the two of us thrashing it round Oulton park.
We did a similar conversion on our Trophy - but used 300mm discs and fitted the bigger master cylinder - and because we're fussy we fitted 197 rear brakes as well (same sized discs but bigger pads)
The brakes are now exceptionally good.
DS2500's are excellent as a road pad but in my opinion...
If you're heavy on the brakes it's quite easy to get the brakes hot enough for the discs to warp (even brembo HC)- especially if there's two of you sharing the driving - that's my experience anyway - and that's with cooling ducts and cool down laps.
I know many on here will disagree and say...
Got to be 16 inch wheels because of the 197 4 pot calipers and 300mm discs (15's wont fit) :

The car runs on 16inch diameter x 7 inch wide wheels ET45, which...

Works really well with the Sabelt Renaultsport wheel.
Modifying a car for track use when you're paying a garage to do it can work out pretty expensive - and you rarely get your money back when you sell the car.
Cheaper to buy an already modded track spec car in my opinion.
Just bear in mind that track spec cars can be hard to sell on because...
Just updating this project thread as I'm involved in the car too.
So far we've done :
Refurbished Sachs front dampers
New Sachs rear dampers
New Trophy front and rear springs
New rear OEM discs with bearings
New brembo hc front discs
New OEM front wheel bearings
New OEM track rod ends
Hunter...
Had the bright idea of fitting high visibility yellow mirror casings to my son's Trophy, mainly for trackday use so that you are easier to see.
A cheap pair of eBay mirror casings and a tin of halfords florescent paint did the job and last night I fitted them to the car.
Not 100% sure if I...
