ok thanks. is the tensioner easy to get to? and i'm not sure off the top of my head, i've got all the history at home, just at work at the minute - i'll bear that in mind though if its due a change.
yeah it didn't look right to me. so losen the tensior, bolt it in properly and change the belt and i'm good to go? Would that be causing the pulley on the alternator to stick and cause a squeak? Rather than a potentially nakered pas pump?
hi all,
recently picked up my 182, with a suspected broken pas pump, as it squeals loads when turning, not just on full lock. I inspected it this weekend, and it looks like the alternator isn't bolted in properly (i've attached a pic). the pulley on the alternator also sticks and stops...
yeh, one before and one after the cat. i think it's the rear one that isn't important but im not sure. someone else may be able to point me in the right direction.
ok thanks mate. if im honest i'm not really sure, as i bought the car with the exhaust fitted, but a decat is definitely on my list to do at some point anyway. can you get a generic map with the lambda mapped out? if so, do you know how much that would cost?
So i got the lambda done on saturday and the fault cleared, but the car still idles a bit funny. the fault showed up as o2 sensor, any other ideas?
also, i went to do the power steering pump, but when i did some more digging, it looks like the alternator isn't bolted in properly - i've put a...
Just picked up my first 182, in my favourite colour - black gold. I've previously owned a couple of clios, both 1.2s. The first one wasn't great, and the second one was a 182 replica, but due to a long commute to work i ended up selling and buying a MK1 Fabia VRS.
I've always wanted a 182 and...
Come across this on ebay:

thinking of looking at it over the weekend, does anyone have any ideas what the tapping noise could be? i've had a look on the forum and everything that's suggested the guy says...
Hi all,
As I got out my car tonight I noticed a small bit of paint starting to flake on the side of my roof. Is there any easy way of fixing this as its only small or is it a respray job?
Also, if it is a respray job I was thinking of getting a vinyl wrap instead. What would turn out cheaper?
Could you not bolt it around the wheel well? Plus ive got the 182 replica exhaust so im assuming that'll cause more problems. Yeh same as in that picture is what im going for! quite like it actually. Only i'd want the exhaust tips to stick out so not sure how that would fit either.
Ah right, and on top of that i need to source another bumper temporarily. If someone had already done a good job i could see i suppose i'd be more inclined to try it myself. but costs don't seem to weigh up for the looks in my head!
Ah right, thanks for that. after seeing the costs i doubt it'l be worth doing. I might just photoshop a painted on diffuser similar to the one in the white 182 thread and see what it looks like on blue.
