I cannot for the life of me find anywhere to just sell me oem ones! I need the 23mm outer ones and the only place I have found so far is Renault and they didn't have them in stock! I've been to a couple of motor factors too and they don't even have them on their systems.
Any help appreciated...
Wasn't there a revision on the cam belts because the tensioners kept pooing themselves, I'm sure I saw it somewhere on here that it was revised to 36k miles?
I believe the law is that the top of the tyre has to be under the wheel arch, or you could be getting pulled over now and again. I'm not 100% right but correct me if I'm wrong!
Hey mate, do you think lubing up the bush with wd-40 would temporarily stop the creaking so I could determine whether it was them? my plan is to squirt wd-40 on all rubber/moving parts around that area, but individually so hopefully I can determine where it's coming from.
Hello mate, still not convinced, it sounds like its coming from the suspension strut, and is sometimes louder than that. I'll definitely check the steering rack bushes out though! Thanks for the input.
So I have a creaking/squeaking noise coming from the front passenger side of my car, it happens when turning whilst stationary or when pulling away.
I've been reading up on the washer fix for the top mount knocking and that it could possibly fix the creaking too but I'm not totally convinced...
This is an abandoned petrol station on the road out towards Marlborough, from
Newbury/hungerford. By the way sorry for the massively late replies! Just had a peek at an old thread and realised I didn't answer you back!
Basically he said £15 per calliper plus postage back, but he will return the calliper and piston seals etc not assembled or he can put them back together with old seals but can't guarantee they won't leak, or alternatively you send him your callipers and a couple of refurb kits and he'll blast...
Hi mate, he said he would take you up on that offer in a few weeks time, obviously you'd have to pay to have them shipped to him and back to you and maybe cover the price of some powder but he said he would do them.
Regards
Also he'd like me to drop in the fact that he can do calliper restoration and coating too, replacing seals etc! You can see a before and after of a mk2 fiesta calliper in a couple of the pictures
Cheers
Hi mate, the engine cover is most likely be sprayed, and if the others look and feel the same then they probably are too, powder coating is a lot more durable and can take the heat! He's not doing wheels at the moment because he hasn't mastered them and wouldn't want to give back a product...
Possibly mate, I'll get onto him with that one. But even stuff that Isn't car parts that is metal he can do, maybe if you've got a hobby or an interest. Bike parts, gun parts, fishing parts, anything!
Right, so my friend is trying to start up his own little business in powder coating. He wants to know what the general consensus is for pricing, so we're talking inlet manifolds, fuel rail guards, basically anything on the car that you would want painted, that is metal. He's done a fair bit of...
Okay so long story short I bought an exhaust of eBay made by proflow. It's a decat system and sounds great. Only problem is, is it needs a new backbox. My question is where can I get one from? I phoned longlife and they wanted 300 quid for a backbox! So they're out of the question!
Would...
Yeah I was thinking the same thing but I haven't got anything big enough to go around the bush, may have to have a scout around at work for some scaffolding poles or something
Okay so I've got a rear beam to go on my car, and some new bushes for it. My problem is they are absolute @&£@ers to get out! I've tried striking them with a hammer and using a suitable 'drift' and a hammer and no such luck! So my question is, anyone got these out and back in without a press or...
As in the bit that the stub axle is pressed into. If so that's bad because I need them too! Would it matter of I were to just swap the complete beam onto my car, including the non cup hubs and stub axles, or are the stub axles different thicknesses too?
regards
Well I'm looking for one to buy and I pm'd someone and they said a bit of advice, the 182 full fat and 182 cup beams are different, but I don't see how or why it would be?
