    Yellow V6 burgess hill

Seen that a few times including one of the breakfast meets at the 5 bells, just out of interest, Simon, did you used to own a very very tidy S1 RS Turbo?

L Triple 2 and the not a project project.

What a great way to remember your girlfriend by, so sorry to hear of how the project came about, I'd be in pieces if I lost my wife (we were best mates for a good few years before we got together) but at least you're getting on with life rather than drowning your sorrows and looking at the...

    Finally test drove a 197...

My missus does a mixed commute of 3 miles of town driving, then 17 or so A-roads which she doesn't hang about on, she sees about 32mpg on average, so not too bad considering, as for the 1*2 vs. 197, we've got an R27, and my old boss had a 172, which I've driven in both stock forms, and fully...

    Red Trophy Burgess Hill

Aye, I'm also from Burgess Hill Mike, I think we may have "spoke" on 197.net, I've got the black R27 that you used to see around Cuckfield/Forest Row etc... Glad you came to appreciate it, it's all about the seats and brakes!

    Red Trophy Burgess Hill

I've tried to resist getting too involved in the Clio scene, I am/was heavily involved in the VW (as you know) and I could do without numerous Clio's clogging up the driveway as well as the Golf's!

    Red Trophy Burgess Hill

seen the Trophy a few times Mikey, owned by a 40 (ish) year old bloke I think, saw the blue 197 you mentioned today, it's got the same rims as our 197, but in silver, followed a white 200 through town earlier today as well

    D7F (?) Headgasket change

Hi Guys, Been offered my step sisters 2000 Clio Grande 1.2 for nothing as a cheap hack to save putting loads of miles on our R27, and save a bit of cash on fuel too as the wife is now commuting 40 miles a day. Thing is it's got a suspected HGF (hence it being free!) which isn't a massive...

    Newb with a F1 R27 (+ a couple of VW's)

It was a "no-cost" option on the R27's to have the wing/roof graphics removed, so ours never had them, to be honest it would have been a bit much for me anyway, besides if I ever do want them I'm a signwriter/designer so I can always print out some more ;) There's a link to my Photobucket...

    Newb with a F1 R27 (+ a couple of VW's)

The Mk1 should be around 200bhp or so when it's done, the head has already been p+p,  though VW ports are notoriously big anyway, so bigger valves will make there way in, a set of custom profiled Cat Cams should be going in as well (my mate is the UK distributor for Cat Cams), just in the...

    Newb with a F1 R27 (+ a couple of VW's)

Cheers guys, it's far from finished yet, but it's getting there, there's 185 pictures of the build so far here, and a more detailed build thread here if you're interested! (don't think you have to register on the forum)

    Newb with a F1 R27 (+ a couple of VW's)

Hi All, Thought I'd sign up here and say hello, I've recently brought my second Renault (I had a 5GTT many years ago) after years of owning VAG stuff (and a Punto Sporting whilst at Uni) and me and the wife decided after much test driving etc that a 197 fitted the bill for what we wanted in a...
