ello guys n gals, im not actually a clio lad anymore, moved over to vw few months ago, mk4 golf 1.8 turbo, love it! however, im in need of help. wondering if anyone knows of any tuning companies that give finance, as i need to get going on tuning this baby up, except im a bit poor at the moment...
i was posting earlier about my new golf, but i accidently left the page open and a mate of mine sent a reply that was well harsh, i do apologise! you guys are awesome n id be chuffed if the new car was as good as alot of your cars!
mike
just wondering, ive got 2 12" subs n boxes and 2 fairly big amps and some 6x9s all in the boot area.
is this slowing my car down alot you reckon?
would i notice the diference in performance/handling without it all?
cheers guys, mike
haha, wish it was that simple, amongst other things, the passenger side wheel bearings going, the drivers side disc brakes are dead and the lamda sensors fooked....damn! in garage at mo bein looked at, hopefully under warrenty!!!
wish it/me luck!!!
a mate of mines dad has a ferrari dino, but its the real mccoy, its absolutely bloody amazing, i dont think ive ever seen such a mint car, he treats it better than his kids! its getting a vacuum bag thing soon so when he isnt caressing it, it is not exposed to any rust producing air! apparently...
think the ecu is faulty, think its puttin in too much petrol, exhuast fumes smellin of unburnt petrol n theres petrol sittin on the exhuast tips, also the fuel consumption has been suffering greatly recently. is this the ecu? and if there is a problem with it, can it be fixed under warrenty? its...
replaced my original 15s on my clio yesterday from my old 17s, noticeable difference i swear, seems faster and it feels like its handling a bit better (maybe because of less tramlining?!). also replaced the original rear lights from lexus....improvement, lexus lights, what a waste of money...
hi guys, been thinkin bout new car for a while as the clio is proving expensive (drinkin petrol), and just fancy a change.

sell my 1.6 16v 2001 clio with 41k on clock, nice condition etc.
buy 106 gti on a P plate with 83k (but engine replaced by peugeot at 30k) running nearly 150bhp from full exhaust/manifold, chip and induction.
big decision as insurance is £1600 and its an older car.
help!!!!
they wouldnt even quote me on a 106 gti, say i have to be 22 with at least a year NCB and have been driving two years
1.6 16v clio coming up well over £2000
i got a quote from elephant on a 106gti for 1400 fully comp, im 19 with no NCB!
who ever said HIC were good
pressures are now ok, directions are ok, theyve now done about 200 miles, maybe more.
surely it wouldnt be the tracking as they didnt touch the front wheels!?
mike
just went to garage, they were on bout 29psi all round
topped rears up to 34, and fronts to 36. feels bit beta but i dont think it was a pressure problem, i reckon its still gona try and get me off the road!
theyre maxxis i think, on the wall of the tyre it says 44psi max, what pressure should they be at then? also, i have toyo on the front, they say 50psi, what should these be at?
maybe, how do i know, also, tyre pressures are ok i think, what should they be? it doesnt seem like its that kinda problem, one minute the cars okish, the next its like a different car n its gona pull me off the road!
help!
last week i got 2 new rear tyres fitted at a garage near me. from the second i drove out i noticed something weird. its the handling, i can be going along on a DC and if i pull over sharply it snakes really easily. doesnt feel anywhere near as responsive as it did before. and when i brake hard...
and bringin it to double figures...
mikesclio = 10 !!!!
big up 1.6 16v!
also well up for a meet, however, from essex, could do midlands though...
mike
ps i believe you oakley, of course, it would be in my favour to believe you!
i like it that theres more talk of 1.6 clios, theyre under-rater IMO, i like mine, decent step up from 1 litre suxo! ive always thought 0-60 was <9 secs. 0-100 is pretty slow however, bout 25ish i reckon?
yeah, 1.6 16v rules!
alright connor, just thought id mention, dont know if u read my post but direct line offered me 1800 fully comp for a bmw 323! its about the same for 325 and 328! i dont know why its so cheap but im same age as you and have no no claims etc!
