From what I understand, the problem stems from a bush that the selector shaft runs through. Once worn it allows the shaft to move enough that the seal wears and leaks. Replacing just the seal will only stop the oil leak for a short time.
I have a Quaife diff, AST coilovers and an engine that is consistently down on power compared with other 1*2's on dyno days. Even though I have one of the least powerful cars there, whenever I'm at Curborough Sprint course I'm one of the fastest and will only get beaten by 2 or 3 guys with big...
Has the airbag light always been on since you've owned the car? If it worked previously then I'd still say check all the wires and connections remembering to disconnect the battery and give some time for stored charge to dissipate.
The airbag computer could have been triggered previously, in...
There are no pretensioners on the rear belts so those two should be turned off.
The steering wheel airbag is showing too, has the wheel been removed at any point or an after market one fitted?
If it's an after market job then turning it off should do the trick otherwise check the wiring for...
It was weird, had been ragging it around in the morning session, had a drive to Tesco to fill up with fuel as I had emptied a whole tank by 2pm and hammered it hard in the afternoon session with no issues.
Come off track when it closed at 5pm and let it cool down and that was it. No more play...
I'm on the AM track session so will be camping on the Friday so you will have at least one fwend
That hangar is about the size of a Tesco Extra so think about how big the carparks are on them and that gives you an idea of how big the camping area is.
I believe a none attendance classes me as the winner by default @DaveDreads
Total victory for the black pig today having beaten both @Don and @Loz H and only just lost to a proper V8 dragster.
Even though I had only picked the car up late afternoon of the day before after having a new clutch fitted which I was still getting used to with the different biting point, the indignity of seeing the kennel just beat me to the line has eaten away at me all year.
This time, my friend, it will...
I asked Ad at Renault Wolverhampton the same thing for the very same reason and he couldn't find it available on the spares system unless you buy the whole gear lever assembly.
Hmmmm, what could be the problem? Better ask Mike, he dead clever :spanner:
Well...it's muddy
Really muddy
Really, really muddy :astonished:
That's never a good thing as I found to my own cost at Donington Park.
Better have a look at the engine while Leon cranks it over
That's not...
Congratulations on the job Jack, nice to see a boy from the shires come good.
I'm sure some wise man suggested having a Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire subgroup within the WM area, who was that?
You know me Loz, I love the meets where I get to have fun on the drive there rather...
Yep, me too :)
I'm driving down from Stoke but the email from Goodwood said to be there by 8am which would mean setting off around 4am so I'm going to try to get a hotel room for the Saturday night.
No problem, shame it wasn't more helpful. Will have to ask Henk to produce a "Water in spark plug well" module.
I have to say, you handled that a hell of a lot better than I could have.
I wish I had never suggested pulling the plugs out to clear the cylinders. Your car might have been running...
Is it bad that it took me a few seconds to figure out how it was moving with no one in the drivers seat?
Only 46 and getting senile already, not good :(
Ryan, that doesn't look like a Sapphire or Capri......
Go out in one of the novice sessions and you'll be fine.
Darius said I can park my little black toy in his area so that made my mind up to come along.
Ad from Renault Wolverhampton said he was going too so maybe he will be in convoy mode if you ask nicely.
Wrong Stokie you mentioned there bud :nono:
The whole "I'd go but it means an hour drive there and an hour back so I'll just sit at home and watch corrie" statements always confuses me. Why the hell someone would buy a fun drivers car and not take the chance to drive for an hour, have a laugh...
For future reference it's for a 1/4 inch drive ratchet or T-bar.
Actually surprised you didn't have one in the kit it came with.
But yeah, it's just a long extension bar with a screwdriver handle moulded to the top.
Dave does plenty of race prep for various types of cars as well as being part of the pit crew for one of the KX Clio's in the Clio Cup series so you'll be in safe hands with him.
Just be careful of the shop dog, likes to pee on the feet of people he hasn't seen before.
Easy enough for you to get...
I'd be interested in taking that if its still available.
I'm toying with the idea of camping Friday, Saturday and Sunday then on Monday driving up to Rockingham and doing a track day on the International Sportscar circuit.
It would mean carrying all the camping gear, food and drink for 3...
