Hi Guys, I have had a search on here, but want to double check what i've found. Is it correct that the 172 cups do not have removable fuel filters? Only one built into the tank? And this needs changing at 150K Just that I ordered one from Opi thinking it had one... Thanks

When they have written "ignition switch", do you think they were refering to the barrel as well? Because I have ordered an "ignition switch" and its just the wiring that attaches to the back as far as I can gather! Cheers!

Because its faulty. My car was having trouble starting up. And they only cleaned up the ignition switch and said it may need a new one again soon. And now its doing the same thing again!

The Ignition switch. From looking at pictures, the part I have, clips in the back of the barrel and then plugs in somewhere! Just wondering if it is defo at the back on the barrel. Cheers

Im wondering if anyone can sort me out? I cant seem to find where the ignition switch is? I have taken the top half of the casing off from where the steering wheel is and I cant seem to see anything like the part I have! Underneath the bottom half of the plastic looks empty! Can anyone...

I take it that all you need to do is take the casing off from around the steering wheel and it's straight in front of you? Just needs unplugging and new one putting in? Thanks in advance.

Hi all, I need a new ignition switch for my 172 cup. Will any ignition switch fit from a mark 2? Or does it have to be from a sport model? Also how much will I be looking to pay for this! Had a quote but it seems very expensive! Thanks in advance :)

If I lock my car using the key rather than the certral locking. Does it still enable the immobilzer? Or does this only come on when you use the central locking? Thanks

Can this cause anything to happen? Some told me your ECU will lock you out. I want to leave my battery off the car for a few days. Is it safe to do this? Thanks!

Yes tested this and it works fine. The Alternator is working correctly. Took it down the garage yesterday. Drop tested the battery and that turned out to be fine. Tested the alternator and that fine. Not under charging or over charging. Checked to see if anything is feeding from the battery...

Checked all connections tonight and everything seems fine. Could it be possible that the alternator is not charging the battery properly? Im getting the alternator checked on Thursday to make sure its charging properly. Any help with this would be great. Thanks.

My girlfriend had a similar problem on her car. Everything was locking with the central locking except the boot. Took it apart, could see that everything was working correctly. Turned out it just needed a bit of WD-40 and then some spray Grease. Hope this helps!

Personally it just doesn't feel like the brakes are any good. considering it's had new disks and pads all around. Someone said to me that my pistons at the back need to be wound out closer to the pads. Is process I mention in my first post correct? Thanks

Do you twist these in as far as they go, then pump, start engine and pump again and then pull up the hand brake last? I have fitted new disks and pads, but there doesnt seem like the back brakes are any better, nor is the hand brake any better. Could these become seized and not come out as...

Whey!!! And it's doing it again! Smashing! Im thinking of just cutting the end of the white wire off. And just soldering it to the prong. Then covering it in electrical tape. That should sort it out! Can anyone think of a reason that this could be bad? Cheers
