This car has been great to me. It's never put a foot wrong really, being consistently economical, reliable and good looking. I hope someone here can see its strengths in the same light that I did (I swapped a FF 182 for it!). It really is a great car for someone who wants an economical hatch...
My clio's for sale at the mo, so I've cleaned it up nicely and waxed it. I've had a real love/hate relationship with it, but it was definitely a 'love' day today! After I'd finished cleaning it, anyway...
Gorgeous colour in the sun! I'll be sorry to see it go, but an all-round...
Saw you coming out of the end of Brampton Road, I was stopped at the set of lights on Stanwix Bank in my black 182. Don't suppose you saw me, but hi anyway!
My brother just payed £160 for the 24k service on his 182, from a Renault main dealer. I looked on Yozzasport and they charge £229, but aren't the independents supposed to be cheaper...? My own 182's 24k service is coming up soon, so how much did you all pay for yours, and from where? Cheers.
Followed you down the M6 to j42, we both turned right only I went past the tractor and you stayed behind. How long have you had it? Not seen you around before!
Me, my brother and his mate Andy went for a spin on Saturday, and had the best afternoon ever. Was a pretty eventful day tbh, we saw a written off 197 by the roadside, Andy nearly found himself: a) backwards through a hedge, and b) in the side of a tractor, we got loads of attention through...
My standard 182 just had a new set of rear discs and pads a week or two ago. The fronts are fine apparently. When I try to stop in a hurry there's a serious lack of bite and really inadequate power compared to my brother's also standard 182. There's nothing obvious at fault - can anybody shed...
Tested a couple of Fiat 500s today, the 1.4 and the diesel. When I got back into my 182 three things that I'd almost forgotten about occurred to me straight away.
1: How heavy the clutch is
2: How bloody good the engine is
3: What an effing crap position the gearstick is in lol
That's all...
Going across the bridge heading towards the town centre (tesco, the bed shop etc). I was in a pale blue Fiat 500 in the turn-right lane to go down past Matalan.
Fantastic day, it was everyone's first meet and hopefully everyone had a great time. Superb route too, bar the potholes (damn them all!), and most of the roads were dry. The usual streams running across, but it wasn't too bad at all. All in all I had a great day, cheers to all who turned up...
Ok, picture the scene... I've been in my 182 for 15 minutes or so (driving) and it's well up to temperature. Not been thrashing at all, just cruising along. I stop at a post box, turn the engine off, get out, post the letter, get back in, start it up, put my foot down to get out into a gap and...
Ok ok, I know I shouldn't necessarily be going that fast anyway but I'm getting a really loud blowing noise behind the centre of the dash (behind the centre vents) when I go above 85. Went out last night (well, it's still tonight as I write) on a road I know really well, was comfortably touching...
You followed me today (I was driving my dad's corolla estate - M666 MJK). You're the first RS Clio I've seen since I got one myself so I felt I had to post about it on here...;)
