Hi everyone,
I'm Doug, I used to be a ClioSport member a few years ago when I had a modified 04 plate 1.2 16v Dynamique! (Debs and Dunc, Ryan, Jas, Claire etc may remember me if they are still on this site).
I had that for 4 years, and albeit a 1.2 ltr, I absolutely loved it! I got rid of...
Hi all,
I've been off Cliosport for a while because basically I've not had the time for it and my new job is eating time.
Just want to say hello to all old and new and I will be on whenever I get a chance. :o
For those that know me, yes I still have the 1.2 16v unfortunately.. :dapprove:
Spotted quite a few now, so thought id make a quick mention as I know JJ! is around here.
* RB 182 with (what looks like) Wolfrace Street Octane alloys, black with silver lip. Seen this loads of times, in mint condition too.
* Silver PH1, 172 knocking around.
* Silver PH2, 172 going...
My network have just recently sent me a new mobile completely free as part of a loyalty thing, a Nokia 2760. I don't really care about mobile's, just as long as it is not a brick and has a cam and bluetooth and i'll be satisfied.
My current (now old) phone was a Samsung E720 and has lasted 4...
Slight problem. Going to be driving abroad next month because im taking my missus on a short winter break. However my insurer won't insure me abroad because im not 25.
Are or is there any companies which can insure me 3rd party temporary cover while abroad for under 25's?
Does anybody know how much new disks and pads are for the non-sport 1.2 16v 04 plate onwards?
If they are expensive im tempted to get the KTR Fast road front disk set for my car then pay out a bomb for standard Reno one's.
As title, what is the best wheel refurb kit you can buy?
Im looking to refurb my original Dynamique 15's. They have slight curbing on the outer rim with a couple of chips here and there, looking to do it myself as I don't really want to pay 90 quid a corner to get it done for me!!
Cheers ma...
Got the new grill fitted last night, a 10 min job and a perfect fit with the help of my mate.
Makes the front look much nicer and more sporty IMO.
Im a little confused. I put up an Egay listing bout half hour ago and i've tried searching for my listing in the sections I have placed it, and it's not listed at all!!
It has a buy it now option and normal bidding as well, and I checked where I wanted it listed and did a manual search...
For some reason, I recognise this car. Anyone's?

Can somebody please make me a small ish forum signature?
It's not for this site, but I dont have PS and don't know where else to get 1 from.
Thanks, please use this pic:
And on there can I have Doug written in a snazzy font on the bottom left hand corner please?
I saw a V6 earlier on here earlier with the dash insert strips colour coded and I thought it looked pretty trick.
I know from reading some posts other people have had them done by Mark on here and was wondering if you could post some pics up of your colour coded inserts?
Im possibly thinking...
Here is the Carbon Battery cover if anybody was interested to see what it looked like:
So if you want a carbon battery cover, get one from www.carbonmods.com.
Saturday just gone I finally got my car lowered 35mm at Debz and Duncs house after waiting 2 weeks to get a decent quote to get them fitted! After setting to work at about half 11 in the morning we managed to get her on the axel stand and get the driver's side strut taken out after much muscle...

Is this battery cover any good? Real carbon fibre. Sounds very cheap for what it is. Ideas?
I checked the dimensions of the cover as well and it does fit over the Mk.2...
Was having a drive home, had some work at home that needed sorting out for the morning and where I work there are some nice fast roads within the national speed limit, so I thought great, ill give it some beans (or what beans my car has anyway) and I ended up getting stuck behind an old todger...
How much does it cost to get wheels refurbed?
Minor scuffs along the outer ridge, small deep cuts in places and a tiny bit chipped along the rim's too. I think 3 of the wheels need doing.
Has anybody lowered thier car -35mm on KTR springs?
I've just bought some of these and want to see what different it makes. Preferably on 17" wheels.
Thank q. (mk2. ph2).
The charcoal canister vacuum pipe which goes into the plenum chamber can it be just taken off the charcoal canister without any problems or do you have to depressurise the fuel lines going into the charcoal canister?
The only reason I ask is because I want to replace the vacuum pipe going in...
Shall I get the Renault Sport front grill for my little 1.2?
Seeing as every other 1.2 here probably has it as standard now, shall I jump on the band wagon too?
Last night I spotted a black Clio 182 at Frosts and was wondering about the price it was on for.
It had curbing on the front passenger side wheel quite badly, 1 of the front fog lamps was smashed, it looked as though it has had a scuff as well quite bad on the front bumper as there are traces...
Browsing le net and came across this:
The report says the driver was just coming out of a national speed limit zone road and ended up rolling end-over-end into a field, landing upside down!! :dead:
Apparently driver made it out with only a broken collar bone and cuts and bruises!! -...
Nob in a silver Clio (possibly the 1.4 or 1.6) behind me from Newhaven to Seaford last night, so far up my arse he could probably have seen what I had for breakfast.
Is it cool being up my rear end so far that if i braked hard you would have seen the rear internals of my car!?? And dude...
As some of you know, I had chrome LED clusters. Due to much debate and thought, I've decided to take them off and put on the standard ones :D
So now, I have the original MK2. PH2 lights back on - For those that didn't like the lights above.
So.. you can stop moaning how bright they are...
