Don't think CSL wheels will fit anything other than an M3, must be replicas (or four front wheels)
Lovely motor you've got, I was in the market for one of these but drove a 1 series and was blown away by the handling. Facelift looks the business with the sport bodykit. Drove a 330i recently...
Bank loan isn't necessarily always the best way, it depends on what you want to do with the car. If you want to change your car fairly frequently, then a lease/purchase scheme can benefit you by having a car with a very good residual value so that you essentially only keep the car for 2/3 years...
I've gone over to Megs NXT wax, very easy on and off and water is beading brilliantly. Time will tell how long it lasts, but my car is silver so i'm not too bothered about depth of shine as silver doesn't really have this quality.
Mike! Not as flash as your frugal commute car and rear engine mental weekend beast! That V6 looks awesome.
The 1 series a much better handling car than the 320d, the handling is awesome (being a sport on staggered 17" wheels) - definitely on par with the 182 but a much better/lower driving...
Anyone can get anything on tick, far too easy to get hold of credit cards and loans now :).
Simple really: live at home with parents, take out a whopping loan over 6+ years, pay very little rent back and literally work to make the monthly payments/insurance/fuel.
Believe me, I work in a bank...
I must admit a main dealer wanted £400 for labour alone, parts brought an inspection 2 up to ~£600-£700 for an M car. If you need discs/pads/tyres on top, you're talking over a grand.
Jesus, that is a shocker considering I was quoted £350 for an inspection 2 (the large one) service on my ex M Roadster (M powered car too) from a reputable beemer specialist.
I'll be swinging by for a test drive of one, I miss my 182 from time to time - but if the 197 is anything like the 182, it'll fall apart, things will go wrong all the time, it'll be in and out and in and out for warranty work (which Renault won't fix).
The major build issues aside, the 182 was...
The xenons on my beemer are definitely a more blue tinge than the xenons on my 182, but the xenons on my 182 were definitely brighter although they looked less "bling" from the outside.
Higher colour temp, yes, but sacrificing brightness. I preferred the xenons on my 182.
Mike you're a crazy dude! ... although I kinda knew you couldn't stay away from two seater roadsters for very long !! ;) Looks absolutely mint, i've never thought of the V6 as a possible car - if I wasn't doing silly miles i'd move over from a diesel and back to a two seater, it's just motoring...
Oh hell yes, it made me smile for sure! I'll never forget it, i'd take one over any other roadster at the moment... with a prospeed of course ;) ... maybe a Z4 M ?
Must ... resist ... !!
I loved it too :D
It was brutally faster than the 182, so much more torque. Fantastic engine, shoved like a diesel low down, blew like a turbo in the mid range and rasped like a VTEC up the top. I miss it so much, i'm deffo gonna have another M roadster one day!
What I would say is that i felt...
Thing is it wasn't really falsely advertised - the odometer was showing ~46000 miles and the Audi service history showed incremental mileage consistent with 46000 miles - but it's after he got it and the "i was working off shore for most of last year" that doesn't add up along with the recorded...
Great thanks mate, we didn't put any money down at all. He spoke with his dad who has been in and out the car business for years who said "stay very clear of this one" - there are other mint A4's out there.
I need the much respected opinions of the Cliosport massive, I hope you can help!
A mate spotted a car on ebay (Audi A4 TDi 130, 2001 on a private plate, 46000 miles showing, silver/blue in colour) which was local, the price was brilliant for a private sale (estimated at ~£8800 for a trade...
Spotted in McArthurglen car park about 6pm this evening, Cliosport sticker in the back window.
First time i've ever spotted someone from the forum :), but my Clio is long gone now.
Remember though that if the car was used for commuting and the lights were on in the morning for a good 45 minutes and coming home at night for 45 mins then it's not unreasonable they made have had a lot of use.
The Xenons on my 182 when i was commuting were on for an hour in the morning and...
Hi all,
Ever since I got my BMW 320D SE, i've noticed that the xenon headlights are not as bright as they used to be on my Clio 182. Understandably, the Clio was brand new and my 3 series is 4 years old - so the xenons will have had much more use. Infact, when I was out tonight my full beam...
Whoever said that Xenons weren't any better than standard deffo have Xenon envy. :rasp:
I went from a non-Xenon car to the 182, what a difference. Then I went back to a car without them and missed them like hell, the road was so dim and yellow; not to mention it didn't light up the side of the...
