I did a search and found that it is an mot fail as all dash lights should extinguish after start up. Either way we need to fix it. We don't wanna have to pay twice for the test if it is a fail.
I'll check that out matey, when I get home during daylight this week. Anything in particular I should be looking for that I can test myself when I get to it?
So, my girlfriend's 182 has a TC fault, it has since we bought it a year ago. Light is always on.
We've changed a lot of things but still have the light and now the MOT is due. My eBay Bluetooth OBD2 reads no issues.
This is what we've done so far:
Replaced NSF wheel sensor (advised that was...
Right, glad you confirmed, cheers JIM. I'll look up Immobiliser issues and see if that gets me anywhere as the locking and unlocking didn't help.
If anyone else has ideas about what I can do to fix feel free to chip in still.
The main points are in the title.
I recently had the upper dash off and clocks out then refitted and the speedo and headlights didn't work (but the car ran).
I gave the relays under the glove box a jiggle, made sure all was pushed in then put the keys in and my headlights were working again...
Oh right, cheers. It occationally makes a knock which I thought was the suspension but maybe not then. It is parked at a jaunty angle on my unevenly steep drive. I'll move the car and see if it goes back to normal.
If that's pretty normal looking to yous then I will breath a sigh of relief. One...
Can anyone save me the hastle of jacking up the car in the wet and dagnose this fault from the picture?
Then I can get the replacement part required and have it fixed in one go.
Clio 182 with some coilovers that were on when I bought it.
I've just done this. Literally in my garage now fiddling with gear stick before wheels go back on. I had 5 snapped rusted bolts I had to drill out and three of four of the subframe mounting nuts that are meant to be held in position snapped their brackts so that was another pain but with an...
It probs makes no difference but we've also just had the front brake pads replaced by a garage who had noticed they were low so just did it but the ABS light has also been on since then. I assume that they got brakes without sensors or something, I dunno, but thought I should mention it as this...
So we bought the car in May with the ESP (skiddy car triangle in amber) and SERV lights on the dash. The seller told me that it was for sure a £15 replacement FNS wheel position sensor required. Anyway I ended up going to EuroCarParts and it was a £90 part that needed ordering in (specific to...
youaretheooze, youabsolutehero! That's exactly the same noise as in the video on the track. So you say the reason is in post 4? The wing mirror temperature sensor? Seems odd... I shall investigate when i get home in a few days though. Glad it's a relatively common problem and not a...
turke, did you solve your problem?
I'm curious as my girlfriend's 182 has the same issue. Everything is nice and normal volume in the car, having a conversation and that but as soon as we pass 90(ish)mph the entire cabin fills with a really loud squeeling noise (like we need to shout to talk)...
