I had a similer problem, few strands of the throttle cable had broken and frayed inside the outer sheathing and making it stick. was sticking at bout 2000rpm slowly got worse untill it started sticking at bout 5000rpm.

Turned out to be the battery. Battery in astra is f**ked to so didnt have the power to start it even with engine running, probably due to lossses threw jump leads. So, fitted a new battery this morning, drove 32 miles to work and then half way back home when the turbo blew up and removed all...

Hey iv got a X-reg Clio sport 172. Cam belt pully colapsed at the weekend, Cam belt sliped and bent some valves etc. Looking at geting it overhauled or geting a 2nd hand engine and posibly geting that overhauled. Im not a millionair or a lottery winner tho unfortunatly. Anyone got any...
