    Clio 172 1400cc Supercharged

Darren. Do you remember at Chatsworth a few years back we were looking at that sprint spec bmw 4 pot on a stand that had a massive turbo on the side of it and I'm sure that was 1400cc... the guy said it was pushing a thousand horses.

Ph1 172 Flamer - Subtle, Working Progress *PIC HEAVY*

It's funny seeing the Applecross road pics, especially the one with Daz's BG overlooking the same gulley with the loch in the background... Unfortunately DTV was parked behind the 182 here, and didn't quite make it into the shot. BTW, have you still got the K-Tec exhaust that I fitted on her? I...

Ph1 172 Flamer - Subtle, Working Progress *PIC HEAVY*

arg_carra Hi, I'm Steven Greenhough, from Manchester, I was the owner of Y795 DTV for 5 years. I bought her from an old couple in Cheshire in spring 2007 with 29k ish on the clock. I immediately got the 'big' service done at RS Tuning in Leeds, belts and all, she needed discs and pads allround...

Over 10 years in waiting...... and my day finally arrives

No mate, just wistful gazing. I'm with you 101% on "life's too short" but I just couldn't stretch to it. For now, at least.

BTW Daz, you didn't answer the question in my text... Have you taken your Mum out for a spin yet?

Over 10 years in waiting...... and my day finally arrives

Every time I've spoken to Darren, since he linked Callum's For-Sale thread, he's been more and more excitable. CS-ers reading your post will probably get the gist, but I can vouch for his almost obsessive regard for Evo's, particularly the VI; it's been in him since they were launched. I just...

Scottish Run - including a fair bit of blatant Clio pic wh0rage...;)

Hi Guys, Not been on here in a while. TBH the flamer has been a bit of a pain in the @r5e in the past and over the past 18 months or so has not seen much 'proper' action. That said... This trip was ace. And so was the car; I said to Daz, more than once I think, that she just kept getting...

Rev limter cutting in to early?

The limit is dependant on oil temp, not water temp. It takes a little longer to warm the oil thoroughly, so even when the temp guage looks good the oil may still have a way to go. If you drive it a bit harder it'll warm up a bit quicker, but I'd try and keep it from hitting either limiter if poss.

    Do 182 springs fit a Ph.1 172?

I picked these up today. Before I fit them, what difference (lower, firmer, etc) would I expect to see on the car? None/Marginal/Radical/Pointless/Disaster?

    Clutch Pedal

Have a good look at the clutch pedal; it has a fairly complicated mechanism as the cable goes through the bulkhead at an angle. I gave mine a good clean when i bought it and slapped on some fresh grease, and that smooth'd it up a bit.

    Fuel Pump Relay

Does anyone know where the Fuel Pump Relay is located on a phquick? My car has an intermittent starting problem that has not been cured by replacing the TDC sensor. Starter motor and battery are strong, once the car has started it runs fine. It doesn't cough or splutter; it just doesnt start...
