Try silica gel to absorb the moisture.
There is loads for sell on ebay. I have two sachets sat on the little shelf near the clock.
I doubt it will help if you have a major water leak but it is good for normal 'winter breath' :approve:
Higgy.
Hi bummer,
I did this a few weeks back and took loads of pictures. I will see about hosting them somewhere or creating a guide.
Basically as Sash says follow Fubars 'remove bumper' guide. Headlights are held on by three bolts. One on the bonnet slam panel and two on the front of the...
Mine does this usually when it has been raining, I would not worry. The amount of components moving around we should all be thankfull that there is not more noise.
You should have heard my old Pug 405, it had a nasty knocking noise when cold from the engine (petrol), but it was my grandads old...
Sorry, not helping your thread, but I looked at loads of Cliosports when looking to buy, and quite offen the writing had worn off on 182's compared to 172's?
Renault must have changed supplier for these and the piece of trim on the passenger side with 'airbag' written on.
From memory the 172...
I have not changed the battery.
I ran the battery out being a fool and leaving the lights on for about 4 hours :o
If the car was struggling to start I would buy a new battery. I'll see how it copes with this spell of cold weather.
I still cannot really see how the battery which apparently...
My trip was resetting every time in the morning when the temp gauge showed 7 deg & lower.
If you turn the ignition on and check it, all the numbers are there. Only when you crank the engine does it reset.
Anyhow, a few weeks ago I ran my battery out. I was fiddling with the HID Xenons (another...
On my mum's old Citroen ZX, leafs fell into the grills between top of the bonnet and windscreen (slam panel?). She never cleans the car and after some time the car started to fill with water inside.
I had a look and the leafs & mulch had blocked the drain holes. The water filled up and then...
The cat is around about the central area and these things run hot, plus being closer to the engine it is pretty hot, so it will evaporate away. Make a nice tea from all the boiling water :)
But that is a lot of water to hear it sloshing?
To hear it slosh I would expect you need a large open...
Well one of my HID's has gone. And the cost and pain of trying to find out if it is the bulb, ballast or starter thing. I can understand why he did it.
BUMPER OFF. What the feck!!! I just about removed the drivers side starter pack and bulb but cant get it all back together. And my hand is...
Mine has also been doing this since the weather has been getting cold (if temp sensor is generally below 7 deg).
If I turn the ignition on and check the trip/MPG it is there. Once the engine starts the values reset?
I wonder if auto headlights might cause additional power drain. I am not sure...
The battery in the Clio should be a '063'. A Peugeot 205 GTi is a '065' and so on. It's an identification a bit like 'AA' used for small batteries.
Some battery manufactureres use their own number written on them, but look to see if there is a number on there.
A Google search with the...
Being a sad engineer and wanting to know all the detail. I am confused with the whole Clio cam set up.
Renaultsport's Powertrain Manager 'Francois Ratinet' said in an EVO magazine interview (regarding pre 197 Clio's) that:
'The old Clio had just an on-off system - the timing switched 11...
