glad you fixed it joel! I'm having similar issues and the car is just plain dangerous to drive now. putting new wishbones/ball joints on it this weekend, fingers crossed!
Update time,
tyres not the best, pressures ok
Car still utterly terrible to drive. missus says the steering is 'loose'
steering rack bushes seem ok. Don't really see how the rack can move much in the bushes as there is a raised section either side of one of the bushes. there is a little noise...
Hi all,
My missus' 182 has developed some seriously dangerous steering. Sometimes when cornering well or if you hit big tramlines in the road the steering goes kind of light and basically the car understeers for a meter or two until it goes back to normal. Its knocked for a while somewhere and I...
Hi all,
Trying to remedy a long time knock on the 182 O/S. When you go over any nasty bumps in the road it knocks at the front OS like the subframe is loose. my garage could find nowt wrong. its been like this a year and sounds dreadful.
Checked everything best I can. wishbones/drop links/top...
oh my days that was tough, managed to get it out, took 1 1/2 hours!
the bolts are quite strong but i didnt use the impact gun just worked it slowly one way then the other eventually with heat and all sorts i got it out.
could probably clean the pins up and re-use but got two new ones on the...
Hi all,
bleedin 182 had killed its pads and discs due to seized slider pins, inner pads muched and discs now warped feeling when breaking.
so new discs/pads on the way but in the meantime I've dismantled the car and..
the bottom sliding pin on each front caliper had gone rusty and seized, one I...
That email from Federal is interesting, what about RS-r's in the rest of the world? Are people getting one's from outside europe..
I actually ordered some today from mytyres and they have just been dispatched from Hanover, Germany! Shame as I needed them urgently.
Do they not have the usual...
Very interesting indeed, I'm about to buy a couple of new tyres and have some older RS-R's here albeit in a different size. I'll try to see a difference when the new one's turn up.
The price varies wildly, Camskill are normally very cheap, yet they are £94/tyre whereas mytyres have them at...
One of mine is the same, unit inside wobbles about. Just bodged it roughly in place for freindly m.o.t man, must have a closer look at some point. So the adjusted ends are plastic bearings, hmm..
All sorted and m.o.t done. Easy one, took headlight out, checked voltage at connector and it had voltage. So Looked at the actual headlight connections, When fitting a new bumper few months ago, and refitting the lights, when i pushed the connector on, the sidelight metal pin had bent down and...
sorry to jump in lads, I was a suffolk lad but now in the midlands, MK ain't far from me, you could try daytona karting in MK, its rather good! just a thought. I'd turn up too..
Doubtful, already did this on my mk2 golf racecar with dubious electrics when the same happened to that a year or two ago..
however Ill slap in some L.e.d lights I just found in the drawer instead, should help and look better...
hopefully will get the m.o.t sorted as its expired..
