So you run someone over ! cause an accident killing people ! and the assessor knows his beans ! ! you want the cost of that on you ? No brainer to me. Simple answer is find an insurer who does not worry about these kind of mods and declare them or keep it standard.
If you have it then you may as well change it, make sure you bleed the engine when you refill the system (bolt in the end of the thermostat housing) And radiator ( bleed screw in top of end tank drivers side I think) It will save you lots of time shifting air around.

Water expands when hot, your max level is when stone cold. Do not worry how high it goes when hot so long as it does not spew it out and that it returns to the max mark again when stone cold.
The reason the coolant system is under pressure is to raise the boiling point of the water from it's normal 100c. If the engine runs ok, comes up to temperature and the fans cut in then it should be left alone until the whole system is cold, then the coolant level should be checked. You are...
