Haven't a clue I was too busy to go and check. I'll ask Jemlar. Did everyone like the entertainment?

Trophies? I have a Trophy. My Trophy is for sale.

Someone buy my Trophy.

You're joking, why didn't you say anything on the day mate.

I just think you're all pricks. Apart from Wick who said thank you. And Owen. And Revels and Tom for being smarter than me and helping me with my stuff.

Very grateful Greg, I seemed to miss you after I ran off with the driveshaft though lol :( any luck with the rig shots?

I spoke to you last year you c**t! Not saying you understood a word though.

Text > Accent.

Shame I missed you, my mrs said she bumped into you when she was with dawn but that she couldn't understand your accent either.

I assume you are at ford fair this coming weekend giving how much you bum fords etc so I will hopefully bump into you there.

Thoroughly enjoyed the day, had to chuckle when the heavens opened, people were darting in every direction! Even had a good couple of hours looking round the motor museum, thought it was great value for money - went from the cafe down through. lol didnt realise you had to pay on the front desk -_-

Right, I'm actually sober enough to type properly now.

Thanks to all of those that organised, superb day, I hope everyone enjoyed driving my car... (not entirely sure what happened here). Good to meet some new people, as usual, and good to catch up with all the regulars. Sorry I forgot to talk to a few people, Dawn being one of them!

Love the accents and I'll definitely be back next year :)

Oh and we need another suggestions/improvements thread again soon. Last years one worked out well (in that this year had more structure) but it can always be tweaked more.

I'll probably get the same response as when people ask about club finances, however I'm interested in what the net cost of an event like that is for CS to run?

Did the ticket sales cover the majority?

Thanks for a great day everyone! Especially the admins for getting it all organised :D

What were the final results for the f1/rally simulators then? only asking as I was leading the rally one at one point during the day ;)

Times.jpg

I was winning this from early morning until about 2ish. Gutted when i came and seen someone had pipped me to top spot.

Ha!

No way. Considering the ticket came with a 2.50 food voucher, I don't see how it could have.

Don't worry mate, I only shout abuse at people I like.

Every time I read one of your posts now, I hear it in your farmer Giles accent.

You can thank Rob for that not exactly what i'd have chosen, but it'll always remind me of a bloody good time. lol

I'm not looking forward to seeing the ones where i'd passed out though.

I think the location is great, I think the timing is great, I liked the (shorter!!) raffle this year...

I was genuinely disappointed with the cars though. Nothing lairy, nothing to grab your attention. All lowered/splitter/silvervisions....

Don't get me wrong I don't like the whole audio/bodykit scene but I do appreciate workmanship and I was a bit gutted there was nothing lairy there. Would have been good to see/ hear someone turn up with 10 amps and 20 subs in the back of their clio.

This is my issue with most Clio meets that I go to. The cars all look good but the modifications are all the same and not all that exciting. I like attending cliosport for the crack but the cars bore me after about ten minutes.

Yep.

I spent more time looking at the LAguna/megane maxi 5GTT than I did the CS cars. There was nothing there!

I think people need to express themselves a bit more. I'm going to create something mental for next year. Kangoo van with 20 12inch subs in it or something.

Oh God not someone else i've got to apologise to, i'm sorry mate.
I'm such a tit.

I hadn't even started drinking at that point, although it's only the front bumpers I don't like,
and tbh you could drive around in a garden shed and it'd still look better than the Dog Kennel.

Agreed, I found the clios relatively uninteresting, at least if people leave their bonnets up there is potentially a bit more to look at, as it was though for 99% of cars all you could really look at was if they bothered to clean them and what wheels they had picked, as nothing else varied a lot.

Shame as the couple of intercoolers I saw were probably interesting bays if they had been on show.

haha its alright mate :D rather made me laugh tbh. just strolled over and came out with that, then buggered off else where.

mine was the only dci there with a modified sport bumper to non sport wings. buti have to agree, non sports really dont need sport front ends.

anyway, you from conventry?

The point is, CSS is more of a social thing than a car show. No one really gives a s**t about the cars, unless there is something a bit fruity.

This is why we focused our efforts on putting on things to get people talking/competing etc.

I agree, if I wasn't staying in the evening with the people that I stayed with, I woudn't have even bothered going!

But all i'm saying, is that for what is essentially a forum for car enthusiasts, there were very few interesting cars.

^^^That's because everyone's obsessed with the OEM look,
so once you've seen on Clio you've seen them all.

thought you was, live in Nuneaton me mate. would of convoyed down with you, if i knew you was going lol

I'll have to come over and say hello at some point.

It's the regular West Mids meet in Wolverhampton next Monday evening,
we meet up at a pub have a pint and a plate of food, it's a good laugh if you're up for it?

Trying to remember who it was who saw someone driving in and wondered aloud whether it was the person they wanted to smack. Had a little giggle at that.

Think I'll have to bring a few whiteboard markers next time and just cover the car in graffiti.
