Doesn't really show it very well though with our drive being sloped at every angle possible.

Right, picture's of the stance... Unfortunately the car's dirty. S**t weather over the weekend meant i couldn't wash it :( (Although i did find time to do the wheels lol)

Bit lower than i'd planned really, but i were really struggling to get a stance i was happy with. I'm pretty happy with it now, although i have to be careful with the uneven ground at work lol.

It's booked in for tomorrow to have camber, toe etc all adjusted.

Ended up not taking it to Tyre 4 U. Well, i did. But the machine was broke. But their general way they were going about thing's left me feeling that i didn't want them working on my car.

In the end i went to Mansfield Tyre's. They set the toe up, aligned the wheels and gave her 1 degree negative camber as K-Tec suggested.

Thanks pal :)

So, i decided the original aerial looked naff as it was fooking mahoooosive.

So i got this item, which is a Peugeot one i believe. Also took some pic's today whilst she's still clean/ish. So much salt on the roads, washed it yesterday and it's making it onto the car already :(

Been and had the new exhaust made this morning.

The good thing is it looks so much better and the exhaust is really well made. Very happy with it... Except it's too loud :( I told them i wanted it a little bit louder than the Mongoose as that basically sounded standard but that i didn't want it too loud so it attracted attention.

I'll see how i get on for now but on the ride home i was quite dis-heartened with it tbh.

Just waiting for my Forge Silicone Induction Elbow now and my later style Renault Sport badge for the boot.

Sorry for large pic's, bloomin' iPhone.

Tbh, i'm beginning to wish i had. I'll see what happens. I might have to put up with this one for a while and get a Yozza in a few month.

I want to space the wheels, but i'm not entirely sure by how much and unsure if it's going to affect the handling?

Splitter i'm not so sure on tbh. One of those thing's i just can't make my mind up if i like them or not.

Loving it. You need to come to a local meet soon.

Miss my Flamer massively :( The next thing on the list would have been coilies. Yours looks just amazing that low.

Nice flamer chip!
I loved your vtr in my Saxo days

Cheers pal. I'm guessing you're off SaxP also to have seen it before? Do miss that car, was an awesome little thing to me.

looking good - the negative camber causes the front wheels to look quite tucked in the arches though?

Cheers again... Yes, you're probably right. Tbh, it handles pretty good how it is so as much as i would like spacers i want to be careful not to mess it up too much. I've tried asking around on here but nobody seems to be able to tell me much :(

Yes dude, i did ought to really. I'll keep an eye out for the next one, i know they're on about organising something soon.

And thanks again. Looking back at picture's of it at standard ride height make's me think it used to look like a tractor lol. Yet it never seemed like that at the time.

Cheers pal.

Had my De-cat made today. Car sounds brilliant imo. It's a really different sound. It's kinda deepish and an off beat noise at the lower rev's and then build's up to be a nice raspy sound in the higher rev's.

Very happy with it.

  Flamer 172
very nice. Im in the same position as u. I bought my flame red 172 last month for slightly less with 60k and loads of history but needed belt doing. Im in the motor trade so got it done cheap. Wasnt sure about the colour at first but since giving it the once over last week and the sun coming out im liking it.

  Disastra Coupe
Yea pal. My dad's in the trade too, he's a mechanic and auto electician. So we have enough contact's too including folk's who work/worked for Renault.

Flame Red's awesome in the sun.

A few week back i ordered a Forge silicone induction bend, sadly it never turned up. I e.mailed the seller off eBay and had no reply. So i tried ringing them - fake phone number.
At this point i decided to Google Map their address... a Baptist church... Why would a church be selling car part's?! Lol.

So i contacted eBay and got my money back. But in the message the seller also said they would send me one Free of Charge! I doubted it very much but then today it turned up :D haha. Epic...

nice pal. just bought a flame red 172, 73k, also needs belt and service, for similar money to yours.

how long did the detailing take you? also did you use a rotary type polisher? awesome job by the way. mine needs some serious attention, especially to the headlights. have you got any recommendations on stuff to use to sort the headlights out. also any tips as im new to the detailing game. any help will be appreciated. cheers.

I spent 8 hours last Monday on it pal. Still not 100% happy with it mind. I used a Kestrel DAS 6 Orital polisher.

Regard's headlight's i've only tried a bit of Menzerna on it... Not had a proper session on them yet. The Menzerna has done a pretty good job though.

I'm looking at buying a 172 but never fancied the flame red.

However after seeing this thread my searches for a 172 have now become more specific to a certain colour.....flame red!

Looks awesome.

Small update... Skoda splitter: Still needs adjusting slightly but i'm reasonably happy.

Thanks for the above comments :)

Random question, but did you used to ride trials? Ch!p and Mansfield ring a bell...

Car is sweet too, love the colour!
