Cliosport number plates

my cliosport plates have finally come!!!! woohooo!

Apparantely they are reflective, and before people say, oooh they dont work or dont test them out etc, i dont care if they are reflective or not, and no i most certainly wont be testing them out on a speed camera! i liked the honey comb effect, thats why i got them.

i have spoken to the company that did them, and they will do a group buy of 20 sets for £15 per set.

anyone interested??

not sure on the honeycomb aspect to be honest as you lose some image clarity, i ended up going for plain plates instead

like i said the £15 for the plates includes delivery i think, mine came in a thick jiffy bag to avoid damage.

when i say reflective, i mean, when a speed camera takes a shot of it, all you can see is a bright light where the number plate should be. the number plate is highly reflective and bounces the flash the speed camera uses back.

thats why all cars are supposed to have a white number plate on the front, and a yellow one on the back. as the white one is too reflective apparantely

The Rain Finally Stopped, So I Quickly Went Out And Fitted Them And Took Some Pics.

please Note, The Only Reason My Plates Are Honeycombe, Is Because They Are Speed Camera Reflective (apparantely)

as you can see, from a few metres away, you cant even see the honeycombe. only when you go right up to them you can see

get some double sided sticky pads, looks muchos better!

scotty - looks a bit cack with that metal screw threw it, buy some new ones with black caps.

Hating to point out the obvious, why not just take a flash photograph of the plates to see if they are reflective or not?

not smart, as the flash used by a camera is nothing compared to the ultra bright xenon flash used by speed cameras.

stand 15 feet away from your car at night and try to take a pic of your number plate. the flash barely lights the car up.

although it may work really close up. i only got them this morning, so when it goes dark, i will try

That's what I mean - the plate will appear brighter as there will be less daylight in the picture!
