Really decent job you guys are doing, would love to do something like this with my dad.
Thanks mate, I do enjoy doing it with him.
Awe.

Top work!
Cheers!
Awesome build but I have to ask, why build a 1000bhp car?
Thanks mate. Why not build a 1000bhp car?
It won't be used everyday. My dad finally has the funds and time to be able to do something like this and he has wanted too for as long as I can remember, he's an engineer by trade and has always said he would like to give it a go himself rather than let a specialist do it.
1000hp/high powered Supras are more common than you think, there easy to get power out of, even the standard pistons/rods will take 750hp all day if you keep the rev limit stock.

Absolutely fantastic!!
You're only in Benfleet too, so I might see it around (another Essex bod here)
Holy amazeballs!!!

Your certainly doing the job right!

Pleeeaaassseeee tell me though, that at least 1 item has arrived over night from Japan? :D
I can't believe that it took so long to get this question in. I was expecting it to be in post #2 lol!!!

Don't take offence because I really didn't mean any. Just wondered that's all. It's your/your dads car. You do what you like. :D As said, its a f**king awesome build by the looks of things.

I've been in a 600bhp Supra and it was almost no fun to me. Well, on the road.

Sorry if I've missed it, can you name the bodyshop? They've done a great job and I live near Rochester.

Oh that's cool mate, where in Essex are you from?
Haha yeah I did expect that quote amongst others a bit earlier in the thread lol!

That's ok mate, no offence was taken :D, appreciate the kind words about the build. Yeah Supra's can definitely be a bit of a handful that's for sure, there more of a straight line/motorway car than twisty A-roads as such, they do struggle for traction off the line unless you're running R888's and decent coilovers. We'll be taking it Santapod etc once it's finished that's for sure.

Sorry if I've missed it, can you name the bodyshop? They've done a great job and I live near Rochester.
I hadn't mentioned the bodyshop mate you didn't miss it lol, it's called Darnley AutoWorks the guys name there is Rob.
Here's there website with the address too - http://darnleyautoworks.co.uk/index.html

This. It's scary just how good they are and how easily you can hit silly numbers.

Whilst I personally don't want one, I have a huge deal of respect for the Supra.

So you buy a standard Supra, how much are we talking to get it to circa 750bhp? Fitting excluded!

Epic car. I'm looking and reading about the engine stuff but literally have no f**king clue what you are saying. lol.

Yeah buy a standard Supra TT which is around 300hp, if you don't touch the Pistons/Rods/Cams/Cylinder head and just wack a single Turbo on it, you could probably get too 700hp for give or take 13k in parts, that includes, Turbo Kit, Intercooler, Uprated fuel system with injectors, Syvecs ECU, Exhaust and if manual a Clutch, that doesn't include fitting etc.

Really nice bit of kit there.
Cheers

I think I did mention that in my first post ? If not apologies, yes the block was line bored to suit the main caps we definitely did not just fit them haha, the first engine place we asked called goznays in romford didn't know what we were on about so weren't keen on giving the engine to them, that's why we went to Roland Alsop down in Cobham.

There's a lot of steps I haven't put in or mentioned as there is just soo much to say that it would take me forever to type it all lol!

Thats pretty strange and worrying of Gosnays!

Yes mate that's what we thought, it was going well until we said about the Main caps, and then they said they weren't sure as they've never done a Supra block before, so didn't use them in the end.

Ive used them for various things over the years and they've been great but you're certainly righ in not letting them have their way with it.

1000bhp at the crank or at the wheels? Looks good so far though :) ccw wheels are nice but surely you will want 12" wide rears? Will that fit on stock arches?

1000 at the crank/flywheel mate.
Yeah it will probably be ccw's but not 100% yet.
Yeah we're going for 12 inch wide rears, they just fit under stock arches, but you have to have the arches rolled which is what the bodyshop has done already.

Thanks mate yeah the engine bay is going to look very good with the relocation of parts.

Just read through. No idea how I didn't spot this. Brilliant work. Can't wait to see it finished.
Thanks mate.
Thats a bit of a monster. I can imagine what 1000bhp would feel like.
It will indeed be abit of a monster, can't wait to see it finished. Hopefully more engine updates as soon as possible.
