Yes, superb addition. 'Borrow' Vish's, only an hourish to switch over (and back). As soon as you turn in the back takes up a bit of attitude, which you can push further if you want!

The seats are £1300 each new. Now I didnt pay that, but they were expensive enough for Sarah to be fairly unimpressed, especially when im supposed to be saving for a house, etc :slap:

Right, done a thousand miles in no. 461 since i picked it up on Saturday, & yup, it drives exactly the same as my 1st one. Few dash bulbs need replacing, & the wipers are either on fast, or off, but hey, thats easy enough to sort .... hopefully ....

More importantly, i've just ordered some OMP subframes for the Cobra's, so fingers crossed they're delivered quickly & i can get them fitted. Oh, and can someone please buy the Trendlines, i need money for other toys

Plans have changed slightly as well, im not going to be ripping it to shreds quite yet as its going to be my daily transport for a while - so if anyone has a leather rear bench/doorcards that they need rid of, send me a pm. You wont be able to get to the back seats, but hey, it can still look luxurious.

I also need to keep the rear seats in to drown out the sodding exhaust.

The 172k Trophy has now been played with a little.

I've decided that with all this talk of 'scenes' left, right & centre, the clio would set a new trend, a scene if you like, just so that i can fit in with Ph-reeboner & jasonbora (or whatever he's called).

I've dubbed it 'fail, yo'. And it involves only buying stuff thats 2nd hand, & cheap. In addition, your car must not be cleaned, ever, & should ideally be a bit of a shed.

As such, T. No. 2, now looks like this:

(Note, this is actually T. No. 1, but they look exactly the same anyway)

I've sold the buckets as i finally realised that i was bonkers to even consider doing 90 miles a day in them, & i'm currently contemplating upgrading the suspension. Having pondered AST's, it would seem that they are a bit hit & miss (no arguements please), so im likely to stick some konis on the back, along with some MF springs & a whiteline ARB. Unless some H&R's come up for sale.

Next steps, with 2 track days in the next month or so, i need to sort the brakes, so some DS2500's, Brembo HC, braided lines & Castrol Dot are being sourced.

Then, i basically just aim for 200k

On a brighter note however, i am continuing my 'luxury' theme now having purchased some leather/alcantara doorcards & rear bench out of a 182. Whilst they wont make it a BMW, it will add a little bit more class i feel. ROFL. Like f*ck it will.

Bought #433 with 51k on it in May, sold in Sept (with 63k on it) to Luke_89.
Bought #461 with 170k on it in Sept, currently on 172k & keeping for the forseeable ...

Right another little update.

FailTrophy is now off the road :dapprove:

Purely as i've bought a daily

However, this week, lots of treats have arrived for it:

Alcantara front & rear door cards
Alcantara rear bench inc. headrests
Brembo HC Discs
Ferodo DS2500 pads (already had these)
Castrol Dot 4 brake fluid
Motul Gearbox/engine oil
NGK spark plugs
Spare Oz F1 alloy & tyre (for when the front left goes bald on track days)

Just need to buy some braided brake lines and it'll be ready for a big service!!

Ended up getting a refund on the H&R's as they were being delayed a little, so will be rolling on standard's for now. Had a think & i used 205 tyres (16s) on the last track day, whereas im currently running 195 (15s) which do offer less grip/more movement at the back.

Might get a whiteline ARB if one appears, but not too bothered tbh, the Trophy will feel like a go-cart compared to my other car anyway!!

And then, after a while of searching (& giving up tbh), some anthracite 2118's became available, with brand new T1R's!! After thinking about the purchase for about, oh 2 seconds, i bought them, & fitted them this morning ...

Just need to fit the Skoda splitter, & do something about the tractor stance yo, and it'll look suitably epic. In my opinion of course :approve:

In all seriousness I'd be stripping that trophy down to the eyeballs, fitting a whiteline ARB and seeing how it goes.

I find the rear end of mine likes to skip around over bumpy surfaces so I'm hoping either coilovers or mark fish springs can settle it down, aswell as a Whiteline rear ARB, they really are that good, totally transformed my standard ph1 172 and for £150 was definately the best £ per smiles mod I did

Its only a 'track' car until someone offers me money for the TT though, then its the daily again, hence why its going down the fast road/track route - i still want to keep complete usability & comfort

A chap responded to one of my wanted ads the other day actually. Right result!

Glad you like the 2118's, been after some for ages lol ... not getting the H&R's any more though (they got delayed a little so got a refund), so decided to keep the Sachs in the end, they are bloody good after all!! Keeps it a Trophy as well
