Megane R26

How much bigger is the Cozzie filter Poob and would it make any difference to the amount of available air? I can see It helping up to a certin point then thinking it would be governed by the ITG hose size.

Basically i bought the Cosworth one when i was planning my own induction setup. This size of filter was matched to a 300bhp output hence why i went for it. Obviously i consulted ITG before buying it. ITG then brought out their kit and i decided to go with it but utilise the filter i already had. No more scientific than that.

Presume the standard ITG fikter is sized to cope with standard and mapped cars.

Cheers mate. Was looking at the Cozzie filter for mine the other night but at near £100 I'll wait till I find a S/H hybrid and need the extra air.

Pics and Vids from yesterday at Cadwell. The new AD08's were excellent. Coped impressively with the amount of water early in the day and gripped well in the afternoon despite it still being a bit greasy with pretty cold track temps. The car held up well although I had a few issues with braking vibrations early on. I eventually tracked this down to the new PF rear pads and the fact the ESP was pulsing the rear brakes alot in the very wet early sessions. As soon as I let it all cool and switched off the TC/ESP it was fine.

This car is so miiiiiint.

Only thing I'm not keen on is the yellow fogs, otherwise I love it.

Cheers. The fogs are an aquired taste and i've had them like that for years.

I do have some R26R fog light blanks in the garage but i thought they'd be a little R26R wannabee. Might fit them one day as it's not like I've actually ever used my fog lights. :D

Love Cadwell, love your car !!

lol @ the nutter in the Z3M, in the rain, on a trackday. Wipers needed on the side windows me thinks!!

Thanks Dave.

The Z3M Roadster is my dad. :D

Bit twitchy with the traction control switched off. ;)

Superb as always, Chris.

Your car was the inspiration for ordering an UR 200.

Awesome colour. I hope mine looks as good as yours when it's three years old!

Thanks Chris. Looking forward to see where you take the UR200.

The R26 is 4 years old now. Old timer. ;)

Ha ha, thats awesome!! Nice colour as well, rather rare iirc - especially if his is the S54 verison with TC/DSC, etc!!

I used to have an Imola Red S50 version, brilliant cars :D

Yeah it's an S54. One of only 2 or 3 in that colour and spec I think. He's had it a while and it's only done about 30k miles. AC Schnitzer exhaust being the only mod. :D

How easy is UR to care for?

I remember you saying it's not the best. lol. Am I imagining that?

Um.......it's not terrible but it's also a mare when the weathers mega sunny. You'll know from having UB, as soon as the sun is brigh you can see every little swirl. I try to keep on top of it as much as possible and it's not mega soft paint.

Car is still looking exceptional. Love it, huge credit to you.

That spin with the 106, twitchy bum-hole moment for you I'm guessing.

You'll love it! :)

The only thing that makes Cadwell less ideal for Novices is the lack of run-off through some sections. Just start slow and build up and you'll be fine.

I did my first trackday at Cadwell. Go easy through Hall Bends and get some tuition early in the day then you'll be fine.

I've only been once so want to go back there soon as it's a great track :)

Picked up the Profi SPG's this morning. Gave the rails and seat backs some plentiful coats of sealant and then assembled them. They fit like a glove. Such a great ergonomic fit, especially around the chest and body-sides.

I'll hopefully have the mounts for them by the weekend and then i'll just be waiting on a few small bits to make the harness/oem belt switchover. I'm intending on making these work with both a 4 point harness and the OEM 3 point belt (along with the pretensioners) so have got alot of planning and thinking to do in order to make it look like a factory install.

Oh my word.

One of my favourite cars is getting better.

Very kind Feirny. Just got to find/fabricate/cobble together some subframes somehow. :)

Emailed KAM racing and 519 about whether OMP do a Megane subframe but they've not gotten back to me.
