Haven't stripped it yet Pete, the head is off and the Pistons are absolutely filthy with oil and crap. I'm going to get it on the stand and strip it back and investigate it's oil eating problem when this one has been put in the car. There will be photos

Just man up and get a friend to help you lift it out the top.

If you're not strong enough between you to lift the block, seatbelt round the lifting points and a 6ft length of scaffolding pipe to life makes it easier.

In addition to the parts above that arrived, I have been busy cleaning and painting the engine. This update is for Phase1sr and Daniel given they like nice, clean things. Even if they are in colours preferred by Louis Spence

(Yes I know it will get dirty quickly, but I don't care....)

It is by no means perfect (the paint is still fresh from the final coat, and some of the dirt was impossible to remove), but if you consider it looked like this beforehand, then I am happy with it;
