Best SnowLeopard App for DVD Ripping?

Got lots of DVDs that I want to import to iTunes.

What the best/quickest program to use?

Have tried Handbrake but having problems running it with Snow Leopard due to it needing either 32 or 64bit versions of VLC.

Just got iSkysoft DVD Ripper which looks quite nice so gonna try that.

I have got handbrake running now with the latest VLC but its so slowwwwwww!

I've just started using MacTheRipper to archive my collection of c.400 DVDs but it only seems to extract the disc as video_ts. With this in mind, I'm thinking of buying Toast or Popcorn to convert them to iso and store.

Easier/cheaper ways? I'm fairly new to Macs.

Rosetta is like a 5mb download but admittedly kinda defeats the object of have SL.

What settings do u use for Handbrake.

I've got 1.5gb files coming out looking crap!
