    New valve is expensive (around 200 quid). I found mine was blocked and wasn't sending fluid to o/s/r caliper. I removed the brake lines then used brake cleaner and compressed air to free off which solved problem. After all that f%&ing about tho the thing packed in the next day. I managed to...

    MOT d-day tomorrow for me. Had huge issues with this last year and turned out it was a goosed load sensing valve. Here's hoping things go a bit better this time round and no need for arguments!

    Safety briefings start at 8.45. Is 15 mins long enough to register / sign on? Also do we need to pay entry even although we've paid for track day? Last q, if I want to take a passenger on with me will they have anything to pay and do they need to do anything? Its been a while lol

    When I phoned up to book I got told it will depend on numbers how it works but I'm assuming with a 50 car limit its gonna work out more track time than normal anyway. At least I hope it does!

    Done a bit of digging on here and it sounds like cooksports are the way to go - unfortunately I cant wait 4-6 wks for them to come back into stock! As soon as they do tho i'll have a set of sportlines looking for a new home ;)

    172 cup brake compensator valve - cleaning it out

    I had this problem with mine last MOT - no fluid coming out one side. I disconnected all pipes at valve then used brake cleaner and air line with fine nozzle attachment to try work it free - done the trick!

    Wasn't there when it was getting tested but asked for a copy of the brake test report. The f/n/s value did have a note next to it saying lock up. Reading up about cup rear brake issues i've seen a few that mention values around 20-30 kgf which made me think this was the normal level and that...
