172 cup brake compensator valve - cleaning it out

  172 cup
I've got brake fluid going in to the brake bias valve, but none coming out :dapprove:
I've tried force bleeding it by opening a bleed nipple on the calliper, using an ezeebleed kit and manually lifting the arm on the valve up and down..... nothing came out of the nipples

is it possible to clean these out? I can take it off and was wondering if anybody has had one block up before and if they cleaned it out ok?

is it a case of buying a new one if they block up?

these people are selling new ones...http://www.clarkmotorsport.co.uk/parts/Rear-Brake-Compensator-Valve/8200248119

and second hand.....

I can't see how it could get blocked, so I'd be guessing that it's broken.

I'd be inclined to go for the new one, tbh.

There should not be an arm AFAIK? 172 Cup has a non functioning bias valve? As in it's a fixed rate valve?

It still has the arm and a return spring it is just not connected to the suspension beam.

Try taking it off and cleaning it out with brake cleaner maybe - might be a bit harsh on the internals though.

May be try pushing brake fluid through it backwards first.

I had this problem with mine last MOT - no fluid coming out one side. I disconnected all pipes at valve then used brake cleaner and air line with fine nozzle attachment to try work it free - done the trick!
