New valve is expensive (around 200 quid).
I found mine was blocked and wasn't sending fluid to o/s/r caliper. I removed the brake lines then used brake cleaner and compressed air to free off which solved problem. After all that f%&ing about tho the thing packed in the next day. I managed to...
MOT d-day tomorrow for me. Had huge issues with this last year and turned out it was a goosed load sensing valve. Here's hoping things go a bit better this time round and no need for arguments!
Safety briefings start at 8.45. Is 15 mins long enough to register / sign on?
Also do we need to pay entry even although we've paid for track day?
Last q, if I want to take a passenger on with me will they have anything to pay and do they need to do anything?
Its been a while lol
When I phoned up to book I got told it will depend on numbers how it works but I'm assuming with a 50 car limit its gonna work out more track time than normal anyway. At least I hope it does!
Done a bit of digging on here and it sounds like cooksports are the way to go - unfortunately I cant wait 4-6 wks for them to come back into stock! As soon as they do tho i'll have a set of sportlines looking for a new home ;)
Apologies if this not correct place for this thread.
Needing new set of springs and unfortunately cant wait for cooksports. Next option is sportlines - where / who sells these for best price?
For a 172 cup if it makes any odds.
Cheers, Derek.
I had this problem with mine last MOT - no fluid coming out one side. I disconnected all pipes at valve then used brake cleaner and air line with fine nozzle attachment to try work it free - done the trick!
Wasn't there when it was getting tested but asked for a copy of the brake test report. The f/n/s value did have a note next to it saying lock up.
Reading up about cup rear brake issues i've seen a few that mention values around 20-30 kgf which made me think this was the normal level and that...
Eventaually got this sorted - bias valve was at fault! No fluid getting through n/s circuit in valve but after alot of brake cleaner and air to try free it up it eventually freed up a bit.
Now i have a new problem! Car eventually passed MOT but the tester has mentioned to me that there is a big...
Well I have thought of that but doesn't make sense how offside working ok and fact that there was fluid present when I removed old calliper. I used a brake pipe clamp on the flexi pipe when I was taking calliper off - could that be issue ie its crimped shut? Doesn't look like it tho
The brake pedal felt like normal when bleeding. I tried bleeding o/s/r calliper and that worked fine with brake pedal goin right to floor. Engine is meant to be off and does it matter if cap is on brake fluid reservoir when bleeding?
As title says I'm having problem trying to bleed near side rear calliper. No fluid was coming out bleed nipple so I took main brake line out calliper and no fluid there either!
I Had to replace this calliper and brake fluid was present when old calliper removed so not sure what could have...
