Xeon bulb melted

Hi guys, i was out on a drive last night and noticed that my drivers side headlight wasnt working, when i got out and had a look there was a really bad burning smell, i removed the cover for thr headlight (on the back) and where the connector goes onto the bulb it has melted this, has anybody had this before?
