Xenon Lights - Interchangeable parts

Hi,

I am looking to repair/replace my N/S xenon headlight. Garage reported resistor pack and lamp are not working. I have been offered internals from someone else.

Is it possible to change parts between N/S and O/S and how awkward and crap is it to change internals over?

You have to bake it in the oven to melt the glue to split it, but why do you need too?

The ballast is located under the headlight not inside it

Three elements to the electrics in a xenon. Ballast, starter and bulb. (Some manufacturers have the starter built into the ballast however)

all parts are accessible without taking the actual unit to pieces. Ballast is a bumper off and lamp out job however.

So I don't need to put anything in the oven:S?

I will probably get the parts and see how it is, not being asked for much so wont lose out on much cash if its a no go.
