Xenon headlight connector melted

  SJM'd197'dBTM'd 182
Had noticed my drivers side xenon headlight not always working, or works fine then after driving for 30 mins it has stopped working, or rapidly turning the lights on and off would cause it to not work.
Thought it might have been the ballast failing, so changed that but got the some problem.
Removed the rubber cover over the back of the bulb, and struggled to remove the plastic connection on the back of the bulb. Once I got it off, I could see the reason, the back of the bulb had got too hot and melted the rear of the bulb holder and the connector.

Anyone else had this?
Is it possible to get replacement parts of will I have to source a complete new xenon unit?
