X 172 changing the gearbox

Need to put a new box on teh clio.. Anyone got any step by step pics, Things to watch out for, and or a manual.

What seals will i need to by? and its there any best practices..

Im assume i don;t need the engine out.. just got to take of the wheels and drive shafts, support the engine, (gearbox mount off) and slide the box off.

im assuming its not rocket science as it one self contained unit.. Will have a whole weekend to fix it.

Any got any advice for this.. cheers

Change the normal seals nothing much else needs chnaging make sure you plug in the speedo sensor on the back of the gearbox as you've got a phase 1 I take it so you have one don't break it its not that strong and its a pian to try and retrieve.
If you've a Mk1 you have to drop/tilt the subframe a bit gear doesn';t come out otherwsie.
I'd stick in a new clutch and use some decient oil.
