Williams head on 1.8

Does anyone have Williams head on 1.8 16v? If someone has, could you tell me how did it change the engine? Did low torque reduce and do you have to rev it higher to get it going? And finally, how did you increase fuelling, by increasing fuel pressure or by re-programming the chip?

Thanks for answers!

Its definitely been done a few times the other way round, the 1.8 head seems to work very well with the 2.0 bottom end.

the willy head has larger inlet valves so max flow potential is higher.

you will not loose bottom end torque or need to wring its neck anymore than a 1.8.

i think its a good combo to work with!!

will give you options with working the head later on, as you wont need to fit the larger will valves.

as for increasing fuelling, incresing the base line fuel pressuse will increase fueling at every rpm/load/speed site, and you can end up with overfuelling. Best bet is to get Nick Hill to work your ECU for teh correct fueling.

Willy has higher lift camshafts too, both inlet and exhaust, but I dont know the duration angles. So I just wondered if that will affect the same as with 1.8 head and performance cams, which means using higher revs. Its hard to say because I dont know the duration. Does anyone know the duration for 1.8 and willy cams?

I dont know if it is larger, but it is different anyway. If willy TB is larger, could 1.8 TB restrict airflow so much it would be no use for willys bigger intake port and better flowing of the head? Or is there flow reserve in 1.8 TB?
