Will this lens fit my 1000D?

I'm after a cannon 50mm f1.8 lens for my 1000D. Is there a certain one I need to get? Or will literally any age/type fit? Looking to buy a used one from eBay and worried I might buy one which won't fit lol.

So just a heads up from you more experienced people to which one I need please.

Theyre ok lenses. People moan the build quality is a bit naff and they're a bit slow at focusing but for the money you can't really complain.

There's only 1 type of 50mm f1.8 Canon lense and that'll fit just fine dude.

There's two. The original had a metal bayonet and the current one is plastic. Not much more in it that that though.

For the money I think the 50mm is an absolute must. Yes it may be irritating being a prime lens but I can never get bored of shooting at f1.8 with lots of bokeh.

Depends what you have already and what you want to do with it.

It's fast @ f1.8, but fixed focal length.
