Will a 185 tyre fit on a 7" rim?

According to this calculator http://www.alloywheels.com/tyrecalc.asp the largest you can put it on is a 6.5" rim. Just wondered if that is true?

it'll go on yes, with a bit of stretch, but won't be noticeable like the dub boys, tell them what the narrowest is, seem a 165 on an 8" rim, now thats some stretch!!!

I fitted 165's onto 7"

cool, working it out the tyre only has to stretch an extra 6 and a bit mm each side. I'm getting 185/60/15 winter tyres so I'm sure with the massive sidewall they can flex that much no prob.
