Why cant I post???

I have read the bit about paying £5 a year for membership but its not letting me post on random discussions.

i.e. I have just tried to reply to the "Parts for Sale" section for the mp3 cable that someone is testing and I get the following:

Maggiore, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

It did the same yesterday when I tried to ask someone about some wheels they had for sale.

The parts for sale sections isnt a members only so why is it not letting me post?
