Who knows a MK1 welll>?

and is local to me. its making noises, i would like someoine to visit me and tell me what the noises are. i dont want to go to a garage and get royally raped.

i think its the driveshaft or CV joints, or brakes....... think being the operative word.

coming from front drivers wheels rea. first thing i did was check wheel nuts, they were tight.

Am not local but can you describe the noise, grinding, clunking/knocking etc.

I know when one of the CV joint on my car was going it would start knocking when i went round a left bend

if its a grating noise, could be a wheel bearing, many things could be wrong, need more of a discripion to be honest.
