Whilst Gunning it Yesterday...

The plastic matting (the stuff thats bonded to the boot floor and underneath the back seats started melting. It also melted plastic bags I had in the boot.

Is this normal?!? :S

P.S. The back is stripped btw...

The fuel tank isnt weeping out the pump or anything?

I have seen a plastic fuel can melt before due to what must have been a reaction of some kind between the can, fuel and plastic bags in the boot.
