Found this on another forum, dunno how correct it is tho since its from a forum
LM Grease (Bearing grease?)
Lithium based grease same as above but not as low friction, simlar load ability. Cheaper. Same usage. High melting point.
Normal Grease....
Low melting point makes pretty useless for bikes, avoid.
Brake Grease(?)
A silcon (I think) based grease for safe use with syn rubber seals and vegitable based brake fliuds. Load carrying ability limited, High melting point and low water affinity makes it good for avoiding corrosion. Often red in colour for identication.
Copper Grease...
Copper impregnated lithium (I think) grease with high copper content. High melting point. Copper content changes electolytic corrosion characteristics for essentail form Steel/SS to aluminium interfaces esp fastners. Load carrying ability only a secondary feature, Reasonable water restistance. Low electical resitance.
And you forgot electical contact grease
High water resitance, and copper, aluminium content give extremly low elecitical restance. Esp usefull for high current connects, eg starter motor connections.
