^^^ you cant get NCD on third party.
coz theres nothing for you to claim on apart from if you damage someone elses car so the NCD doesnt count unless u keep it on third party.

you cant do ANYTHING you want, they wont insure flared arches! and you do realise CIS will not give you a competitive renewal quote with mods, and if you ask them for a more competive one they will make you remove your mods as they have changed their underwriters. also they always haved classed the K&N as increasing the cars insurance group by 2 groups! So if you havent decalred that, you should! Also i'm 20, 2yrs ncb, 1 claim fault and i'm only paying £800 with mods declared, so i'm sure you can get yours cheaper!

Clio 1.2 16v Dynamique, fully comp, with me as the primary driver, and my parents as secondary.
Comes to around £2000, which isn't all that bad considering my 'high risk' circumstances.

Done with Tesco (the cheapest we could find in weeks of hunting around).

Do those of you with full NCB, pay extra to get it protected?

I think i can have 2 claims in a certain time frame... but surely they have you as if you decide to change company, won't you still have to declare that you've had a claim to the new company?

In a few weeks time:

Clio 1.2 Dynamique 16V (52)
Age: 17
NCB: None
Convictions: None
License: Under a month
Quote: £1400 TPFT Norwich Union
Other: Pass Plus

  Ford Fiesta
doesn't sound bad for a first policy at 17. Brother has a new 1.4 megane and paid just a bit less than that a few months ago, again first policy.

Also with norwich union.

  Dynamique 1.2 16V
How old is he? If he's older, that could account for him paying less possibly.

What quote is he getting may I ask?

  Ford Fiesta
was 18 at the time, think it was about what you paid but fully comp. He also did passplus, norwich union seem to like it dont they.

  Dynamique 1.2 16V
Yep, Norwich currently offer 30% discount I think. A year ago, I heard they offered almost 50%.

But Fully Comp for the price I'll be paying on TPFT, that's actually pretty good. :)

yeah, i think you still have a good price there at 17. You're male too?

Yep, I also live in West London which I heard is an area which increases the premium.

But at the end of the day, I doubt I can find anything below £1200, so I'll consider £1400 a decent price. All I need is to build up that 1 NCB and the second year's premium will be much better.

  Ford Fiesta
yeah should do.
Welcome to the club anyway, you joining up and buying a sticker for your car?

Not until I get the car first. :)

And yeah, I'll more than likely sign up and get the ClioSport sticker.

Bit pointless as i live in Dubai but insurance is so cheap here which surprises me very much as Dubai has one of the worst death rates and accident rates going. Around 4/5 deaths a week on one stretch of road.
