what's the sound from engine?

First thread and massage here.
Joens from sweden here. In sweden clio sport is real rare and the knowledge about them is more rare.

There is a sound from my engine I don't know what it is...

Aux belt?
Generator?

Pas pump doesn't sound great, but the higher pitched noise can be a few things. How old is the aux kit ?

PAS? Sorry, but I don't know what that means.

The aux belt kit is quite old i suppose. Don't know when/if that has been changed.
The car is 2001 16k Swedish Miles, 160k km

The timing belt is 5 years old and changed two times, no notice about the waterpump....

Well if belt is 5 years old it needs replacing.

So if I was you I would replace the cam belt, aux belt, dephaser, water pump. And that's just to start

Well, I'm going to do this next summer.
It's 6 year intervall on changing the cam belt.
When I do that the water pump will be changed also.

Do I need to change the dephaser also?

Yes do dephaser. Might as well as you can only do it when you do the belts. And if it goes just after a belt change you will kick yourself.

Don't forget the aux belt kit needs doing at same time as cam belt

checked it when I bought the car
Will double check it again.


So this is all that I need(and tools also+aux belt+tensioner). Is there a dealer on the forum who can sell me this maybe?

It's 5 years/72k here, the aux kit is due every 36k or 3 years.

I live in Skåne, Hässleholm. Not far from Kristianstad, about 150km above Malmö.

Have to check the manual again and tell you what it says.

Then it's coming up for the "big" service... GREAT!
