What is a Clutch Plate?

I have not long had a clio and only just come across this site and wondered if you can help?

I have just seen this, does anyone know what it is?

Clutch's are made up of 3 Plates - thats what you're thinking of.......Thats just a resting plate for your foot.

**If that is completely true, its the first bit of mechanical 'tips' Ive ever gave.......Jus hope all clutches have 3 plates **

Thats just a foot rest a clutch plate to do with your realy clutch down in the engine.

Nope only two plates in the clio clutch :rasp:.

Surely it's up to you if you want one? If you've got matching pedals and think it will look good then go for it.. If you like the standard plastic foot rest then stick with it.

It's only "worth" it if you like it. I doubt it has any advantages over the standard plastic one as all it is is a foot rest lol..
