What do I need?

Ok I have a tap set to cut thread in holes.

I have a difficult hole to tap with the original tap wrench because it’s too big in the gap that I have.

If I put a bar on the end of the tap and then the wrench on the end of a bar it will make my life much easier

So what I need is some sort of “tap extension”

But when you search for tap extension you get water related items which are no use.

Is there a specific name that I’m missing?

Can anyone help?

Bit of tube with the end squished in the vice would have worked. That's what we do at work!

Well, don't start with a 2 inch pipe if you've got a m6 tap?. Squish it into a square to fit and tack a bit across the end as a handle.

Lol I hadn’t thought about that tbh.

I was trying to find a way to get my socket extensions to work but too much brain power and thus I gave up.

At least this one is good for a few different tap sizes should I need it in future
