went to brighton speed trials today

what a day, with some great weather!

some lovely cars,

fezza f50, f40, and 360 spyder,
tvr tuscan, cerberra etc
a few ford gt40
lotus elise, esprit
plenty of single seaters
a few subeam tigers
lots of escorts rs2000s mark 1 and 2!

does anyone want to take a guess at which car was quickest????








................ a ford puma!

the quarter mile in 10.4 secs at a speed of 143 mph!

I love the Speed Trials. I used to go when it was the half mile course. That was f**king awesome. Unfortunately some one veered of coursed and hit a wall at a ridiculous speed!!! (He died.)

I couldnt make it this years as I had to work today. I have seen it done in 8.9 sec, by some kind of judd engined sprint car.

Wish I was there.

it was only on saturday down on madira drive, the whole road is shut off for the day

the puma was a full carbon body and had a RS200 lump i think, mental!
