Wayne's 182 Toy

Hi folks. Thought I would start a thread on the 182 I have just purchased. It looks as if it may of been on here before as it has a Cliosport sticker in the rear window. The spec of the car so far is as follows:

35k miles
Full Janspeed/Ktec exhaust

Brembo HighCarbon Discs
D2500 pads
Flocked dash/pillars/trims
Bilstein coil overs
Team dynamics pro race 1.2s
Stripped interior
Rear cage
Boot carpeted
Sparco seats
TRS harnesses
Sabelt wheel

As it stands it is a really well set up car and doesn't need much doing however I do have some alterations in mind to put my own stamp on it so watch this space .

Cheers . Plans so far are:

Pure Motorsport gear shift kit
Whiteline rear ARB
Get another set of wheels for either road or track use
Few cosmetic bits too
And basically just keep it well maintained

Aye I've been round Knockhill many a time, usually passenger but have taken mates cars out before and love it. Itching to get the Clio down but that will be weather dependant at this time of year

Testing my patience already lol, lasted 2 days before breaking down. New alternator fitted and it's alive again. Slight whine from the pulley area so looks like it'll be aux belt and cambelt service sooner rather than later!!

Just part of the joys of cars......bug my happiness when they don't work but find a decent B road and all faith is restored haha!!

Well that's just over 2 weeks into ownership and apart from the alternator issue I'm loving the car.

Previous 2 cars were a 300ish bhp Focus ST and an e46 m3 so I was worried I'd be underwhelmed with the Clio but I'm just not . It's never going to break any speed records but it puts a smile on my face.

Exhaust likes to rattle it's tits off which is annoying, but I'm thinking of getting a 172 rear bumper and running a single exit anyways so may get changed.

Another wee update...

Still have a whine from belt side, no definitive answers so looks like I'll have to just start replacing components

On the plus side.....I have parts on route to fit an open filter for some induction noise......and out the back end I've stuck the RSTuner pops and bangs map on for a bit of fun !!

Got to love these cars and there issues!!

Drove a couple mile to the shops last night, no problem. Started car at the shop and it decides it wants to be a 3 cylinder 182!! Quick RSTuner diagnostic and it showed an injector fault. Luckily I could source one local today, half an hour after work tonight and it was back running sweet !!

Had planned to fit my induction kit but decided I was too cold, job for tomorrow!!

Also have a complete aux belt kit to fit, should be done very soon.
